Surgery Department

The Department of Surgery at Warith Oncology Foundation is one of the main clinical branches, as it has advanced its level since the establishment of the institution until it has become a model among international institutions in developing surgical skills in all their scientific, theoretical and clinical aspects and raising the level of scientific, medical and research knowledge by providing the best health and awareness services to the community in general and patients in particular.

The Surgery Department is considered one of the largest clinical branches due to its numerous sub-departments, including: 

- Surgical oncology.  - Gynecologic oncology surgery. 
- Otolaryngology surgery. - Urologic surgical oncology.
- Bone cancer surgery. - Thoracic and vascular surgery.

The department currently consists of a group of Iraqi and foreign doctors specialized in cancer treatment, in addition to a specialized nursing staff in providing hospital services and administering medication under the direct supervision of the physician and the clinical pharmacy department. The department has 18 single rooms for each patient, ensuring their safety and privacy after the operation.

Patient Education and Support: 
During the treatment period, the staff examines the patient, evaluates symptoms and side effects, answers questions and concerns of the family about the treatment, and provides them with detailed information about the treatment journey with close support from the psychological support team.

The Department Features:
Complete privacy for the patient during dose administration while maintaining full confidentiality of the case.
Continuous rounds by doctors on the floors to check on the patient's condition while lying in the rooms.
Daily psychological support visits to each patient's room to support them in their treatment journey.
Presence of indoor gardens and green spaces to improve the patient's and their companion's psychological well-being.
